“As winemaker, it’s my goal to make complex, intense, seamless and delicious wines that reflect the diversity of our vineyards and are balanced in richness and delicacy.”
Under the guidance of Winemaker Sarah Quider, Ferrari-Carano has emerged as a name synonymous with quality and excellence. Heading up Ferrari-Carano’s winemaking programs, including white wines, Pinot Noirs and the red wines programs, Sarah and her winemaking team work hard to ensure flavor quality in every bottle of wine. Sarah believes in employing gentle winemaking techniques, keeping all lots separate, and then blending wine for style, quality and the multi-dimensional complexity that characterizes a truly fine wine.
Sarah began her winemaking career at Ferrari-Carano in 1995, when she was hired as a harvest intern. Sarah then worked at Jordan Vineyards and Winery from 1999 to 2003, while also completing a degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California, Davis. Sarah returned to Ferrari-Carano in 2003 as assistant winemaker, and was quickly promoted to associate winemaker in charge of the Russian River White Wine Program. Now as Vice President of Winemaking, Sarah is responsible for all Ferrari-Carano’s wine programs.
STYLISH ELEGANCE
Sarah’s meticulous pursuit and desire to allow each wine to express itself to its’ utmost potential has made Ferrari-Carano’s wines emerge as a name synonymous with stylish elegance.
