Aromas & Flavors
The 2014 Tré Terre Chardonnay from Russian River Valley is a delicious, full-bodied wine with aromas and flavors of Meyer lemon, citrus, pear, green apple, peach, apricot, brown sugar, spice and maple. A wine with bright fruit and nice acidity, this Chardonnay has a long, lingering finish.
This wine’s rich fruit component complements mildly spiced vegetarian dishes and rich, creamy shellfish entrées. It also works well with veal, poultry, pasta and rice.
How It's Made
Each lot for this wine is whole-cluster pressed, then cold settled in stainless steel tanks and within 24 hours, moved directly to barrels for fermentation with native and cultured yeast. The wine completes 100% malolactic fermentation and is sur lie aged and stirred weekly. The final blend is assembled in June, 2015, and the wine is barreled again until bottling, for a total of almost 15 months of barrel aging. All vineyard lots are treated separately until blending.
2014 was a good year. Spring produced great set and despite a third year of drought conditions in our area, the vines produced ideal yields. Overall, warmer temperatures during the summer months allowed the grapes to achieve mature, ripe flavors.
Pasta & Side Dishes
A delicate butter sauce with the flavors of sage and onion compliment the fresh pasta and radicchio to create a subtle tasting ravioli.
