Grilled Marinated London Broil

Grilled onions and vine-ripened tomatoes make wonderful accompaniments to this classic dish.

Grilled Marinated London Broil


Mash garlic with salt to a paste in a blender and add the remaining ingredients. Put London broil in a large plastic zip-lock bag and add the marinade. Marinate up to 6 hours, or overnight.


Prepare grill. Bring steak to room temperature before grilling. Remove from the marinade and grill steak to your personal preference.


Transfer steak to a cutting board and cut diagonally across the grain in thin slices and serve.


Grilled Marinated London Broil

  • 1-1/2 pound top-round London Broil, 1-1/4 inch thick (can also use a flank steak if so desire)
  • 4 large garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1/4 balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
